About nomadops
nomadops is led by an engineer who has run production infrastructure for 32 years, and staffs each project from a bench of senior people who are available now: infrastructure, architecture, full-stack, product, content, and security and compliance when a project needs it. Every engagement has a senior lead and the same people from assessment to handover.
Who leads the work?
nomadops is led by its founder, who has run production infrastructure since 1994, including seven years co-founding and running a managed services provider for startups and a decade of platform work for distributed engineering teams. The lead is on your calls and in your repositories, from the first assessment to the handover.
How do you staff a project?
Most projects start with the lead and one or two people from the bench, chosen for the work: an infrastructure engineer for a migration or a pipeline, a full-stack engineer for an operations panel, a product lead while the scope is still a sketch. They are people nomadops has worked with, not strangers hired for your project and learning on it. You know who is on your engagement before it starts.
How do you work?
Great tools are the result of operational excellence, not the other way around. That is even more true for agents. An agent is only as safe as the access, approvals and logs around it, so those come first, and the same controls serve your own team through the operations panel. Everything is built in your repositories and handed over with documentation your team can run.
Where are you?
nomadops is a US company. The lead works from Istanbul, which covers the whole European working day and US East Coast mornings; the bench spans the US East Coast and Texas, Seattle, Amsterdam, Bremen and Rabat. You get a named person for approvals and incidents in a time zone that overlaps yours.
What do you not do?
nomadops does not run 24/7 human on-call: agents watch, triage and prepare overnight, and a person approves during agreed coverage hours. And when a full-time hire is the right answer for your team, the assessment says so, with a job description you can use.
Why a corgi?
nomadops started during the Covid lockdowns, when corgi videos did a lot for morale. The corgi stayed.
